FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about Agri-PV

Will the solar panels block the sunlight my crops need?

No. Agri-PV systems are built with calculated light gaps or dynamic trackers. Most crops actually suffer from light saturation in mid-summer. The partial shading protects against sunburn and optimizes growth conditions.

Will the panels act like a roof and stop rain from falling evenly?

Absolutely not. The structures have deliberate spacing that allows rain to fall naturally. During heavy storms, our tracker systems can even tilt vertically. Most importantly, the partial shade reduces soil evaporation, keeping your land moist for longer.

Will I lose my EU agricultural subsidies (CAP) if I install Agri-PV?

No. Our systems are planned and built strictly according to the DIN SPEC 91434 standard. This means your land remains officially classified as agricultural, and you retain full eligibility for your standard farm subsidies—on top of the new energy revenue.

Can I still use my heavy farming machinery (tractors, harvesters)?

Yes, without restriction. The Agri-PV structures have a clearance height of over 2 meters (or more, depending on the crop). Row spacing is customized during the design phase to exactly match the working width of your existing machinery, so your daily operations remain unchanged.
